Bio
Mr. Childers has practical experience in plan production using automated drafting programs. He also has experience in water distribution system design using the latest computer programs for water system analysis. Before joining JEWA, Mr. Childers was a roadway designer for CECS Inc. in Columbia, SC.
Town of Chapin Water Master Plan

Mr. Childers was the Senior Project Manager for the project to develop a Water Master Plan that identified the best options for providing water service the Town’s expanded water service area. The plan provided the information needed to select the long term water supply for the system and distribution line sizes that will meet the present and future water needs of the service area. The Plan was adopted by the Town. Mr. Childers was responsible for infrastructure sizing to meet the current and future needs of the Town’s expanded service area.

Mr. Childers was the Senior Project manager for the project to develop a Sewer Master Plan that identified the best options for providing sewer treatment capacity for the Town’s expanded sewer service area. The plan provided the information needed to select the long term sewer treatment option for treating the current and future sewer demands for the Town’s service area. In addition, the Plan provided a guide for the sewer collection system line sizes that will meet the present and future needs of the service area. Mr. Childers was responsible for infrastructure sizing to meet the current and future needs of the Town’s expanded service area.
Southeast Richland County Sewer System Improvement Project
Mr. Childers was the Senior Project Engineer responsible for plan preparation and permitting of a sewer improvement project consisting of approximately 24,400 LF of 8" gravity sewer main, 90 manholes, 5 new pump stations, 2 pump station upgrades, 53,800 LF of 14" force main, 19,050 LF of 12" force main, 6,100 LF of 6" force main, 11,900 LF of 4" force main, 4,600 LF of 2" force main, valves, fittings, and appurtenances. The Project was completed on time and within budget.
Broad River Sewer System Model
Project Engineer responsible for preparing a system model of the gravity lines, lift stations, and force mains for the Richland County Broad River Regional Sewer System.
